Nagoya Cochin chicken is one of the famous kinds of Japanese chicken breeds, was developed in Meji era. It is widely established as a brand chicken with the highest name recognition among chickens nationwide, and especially be loved by Japanese. They are being raised by free-range condition to 120-130 days. In order to increase the quality of meat, they are specially fed by formulating wood vinegar compound.
The meat is flavourful and has good chewy texture. It can be cooked in various ways such as yakitori, hotpot, and oyakodon.
